BREAKING – Walt Disney World Theme Parks Closing at 5 PM Today and All Day Friday

Disney has confirmed that all theme parks will be closing today at 5 PM and will be closed all day Friday October 7 2016.

Closing as of 5 PM Today (Thursday October 6) –

  • Magic Kingdom
  • Epcot
  • Hollywood Studios
  • Animal Kingdom
  • Typhoon Lagoon
  • Blizzard Beach – Closed all day
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports
  • Disney Springs
  • Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf
  • Winter Summerland Miniature Golf

Closed on Friday October 7 –

  • Magic Kingdom
  • Epcot
  • Hollywood Studios
  • Animal Kingdom
  • Typhoon Lagoon
  • Blizzard Beach
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports
  • Disney Springs
  • Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf
  • Winter Summerland Miniature Golf

I am a lifelong fan of everything Disney. My first trip to a a Disney park was to Disneyland as a child in 1970, but didn't make to Walt Disney World until I went with my wife and first child in 1990. A year doesn't go by with out at least one trip to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World. My wife and I are Disney Vacation Club members and also Charter Members of D23.

  1. We will be traveling from TN to Orlando this weekend. We have reservations to stay at one of your local hotels and we bought tickets for the Mickeys Halloween party for Monday October 10th. Will everything still be open and running?

    1. Please contact Disney directly. This site is not affiliated with Walt Disney World nor do I work for Walt Disney World. But based on what I’ve heard everything should be back to normal by Saturday. Things are changing rapidly and often….please call or contact Walt Disney World directly.
