Disney Music Emporium returns to D23 Expo to celebrate the sounds, songs, and stars of Disney music past and present. The pop-up store, located on the show floor, will feature awesome products and a chance to meet some of the men and women behind favorite Disney tunes!

Album signings at the Disney Music Emporium shop include Oscar®– and Grammy®-winning composer Michael Giacchino (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Disney•Pixar’s Inside Out, Disney•Pixar’s Up), composer Tyler Bates (Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1), Auli’i Cravalho (voice of Moana), Dove Cameron (Descendants 2, Liv and Maddie), Sofia Carson (Descendants 2), and Lorelay Bove (Visual Development Artist, Walt Disney Animation Studios), plus Hollywood Records artists Jordan Fisher and Temecula Road. With the purchase of select music products at the Disney Music Emporium Pavilion, guests will be issued a wristband to secure a space for an album signing.

The pop-up store will feature a wide assortment of music products, including new releases from some of Disney’s latest films including Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Guardians of the Galaxy (how awesome is this mixtape?), plus lithographs, turntables, and posters. Plus, Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection Robin Hood will be available for the first time, featuring previously unreleased demos, bonus tracks performed by Louis Prima, and more. Theme park fans will be delighted by picture discs celebrating favorite attractions like Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and it’s a small world.

DuckTales, Tangled: The Series, and Descendants 2 Coming to D23 Expo

All the worlds of Disney will be under one roof at D23 Expo, including the many worlds of Disney television! Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior will be at the ultimate Disney fan event in full force, with exciting panels, appearances, and experiences taking place throughout the three-day weekend.

All weekend long, you can take a dive in Scrooge McDuck’s Money Bin on the Expo show floor. While you’re there, visit McStuffins Toy Hospital, where younglings can give toy babies a checkup and play with the brand-new Doc McStuffins Baby app, set to launch this summer. Come Face-to-Face with Freeform Stars at D23 Expo

Disney Legends Awards Ceremony (10 a.m.)––Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger will kick off this year’s D23 Expo with the special ceremony that honors this year’s Disney Legends Award recipients. See the full list of 2017 honorees here.

Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios (2:30 p.m.)––See what the artists behind these two acclaimed animation studios are dreaming (and drawing) up. With such an exciting lineup of films––Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2, Coco, and The Incredibles 2, just to name a few––we’re sure this presentation will be full of surprises.

At D23 Expo 2015, we got our first glimpses at Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Beauty and the Beast, Doctor Strange, and more fan favorites… We can’t wait to see what’s on deck for this year’s presentation!

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts (3 p.m.)––Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek will take the stage during this presentation to share what’s new and what’s next at Disney Parks and Resorts around the globe.

A Whole New World of Alan Menken (1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.)––Celebrate the magic of Disney music with Disney Legend and eight-time Oscar®-winner Alan Menken in his brand-new one-man show. Alan will perform his own music and tell tales from his storied career.

Alan Menken Will Offer Tales and Tunes at Disney’s D23 Expo

Tony and Academy Award winner Alan Menken will present his solo show, A Whole New World of Alan Menken at Disney’s upcoming D23 Expo. The composer will offer audiences performances and anecdotes capturing his illustrious career July 16 at 1:30 PM and 5 PM in Hall D23 of the Anaheim Convention Center.

The show, written and performed by Menken, will be directed by Richard Kraft, who helmed The Little Mermaid in Concert and the upcoming La La Land in Concert: A Live-To-Film Celebration—both at the Hollywood Bowl.

D23 Expo—billed “The Ultimate Disney Fan Event”—will take place July 14–16. The annual event offers unprecedented access to presentations, experiences, concerts, sneak peeks, and more. For tickets and more information, visit D23.com.

With eight Academy Awards, Menken holds the record for most wins for any living individual. He picked up Oscars for both Best Original Score and Best Original Song for his work on Pocahontas, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid. In 2012, he won a Tony Award for his score for Newsies, based on the 1992 movie musical. His additional credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Leap of Faith, Sister Act, and the new musical A Bronx Tale on stage, as well as Tangled, Enchanted, Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Galavant on screen.

A Whole New World of Alan Menken received its world premiere in September 2016 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California.

D23 Announces A Progressive Dinner Celebrating 35 Years of Epcot

On the evening of the 35th anniversary of Epcot, a group of D23 Gold and Gold Family Members have the chance to attend an intimate behind-the-scenes, progressive dinner taking place at a variety of private venues throughout Epcot. The multi-course meal will highlight fan-favorite foods found throughout Future World and World Showcase. In addition, honorary Disney luminaries and members of the D23 family will join the group along the way. At the conclusion of the dinner, guests will enjoy a special, behind-the-scenes experience of an iconic Epcot attraction.

The dinner will cost $250 per person, plus a $5 per person processing fee. Tickets on sale Wednesday, May 3, at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).

The event begins at 6 p.m. Check-in will begin at 5:45 p.m. Please do not arrive before 5:45 p.m. The event will last approximately 4 ½ hours.

The dinner is only available to Gold and Gold Family Members.
Members will be required to show a photo ID and their D23 Membership Card.

Join The Official Disney Fan Club as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of Epcot during D23’s annual Fanniversary celebration throughout the month of October! Inspired by Walt Disney’s vision for an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, EPCOT Center opened on October 1, 1982, as the second theme park at Walt Disney World Resort.

The Fanniversary kick-off celebration continues on the evening of the 35th anniversary of Epcot with a behind-the-scenes, progressive dinner in a variety of private venues in the theme park. Guests will have the chance to enjoy four courses throughout the evening, the last of which will be a dessert reception along the World Showcase with VIP viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth!

Attendees will progress through dinner within private areas of Epcot including the General Motors Lounge above Test Track and The Living Seas Salon!

Throughout the progressive meal, guests will have the opportunity to spend time with fellow Disney fans, as well as honorary Disney luminaries and special guests.

Before the evening concludes, attendees will enjoy an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience of an iconic Epcot attraction.

D23 has announced a D23 event that will celebrate Epcot’s 35th Anniversary.  The event will take place on October 1st at Epcot.

D23’s Fanniversary kicks off a month-long celebration with a one-of-a-kind event on the 35th anniversary of the fan-favorite theme park. The event will include a series of presentations celebrating the magic of Epcot over the past 35 years.

This event will cost $135 per person, plus a $5 per person processing fee. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, May 2 at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).  Tickets are only available to D23 Gold Members and Gold Family Members.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees during the event.
Members will be required to show a photo ID. Members will be required to show their D23 Membership Card.

Disney’s Pirates are Coming to D23 Expo in Brand-New Walt Disney Archives Exhibit

If ye be seekin’ adventure at D23 Expo, don’t miss this year’s exclusive exhibit, “Walt Disney Archives Presents––A Pirate’s Life for Me: Disney’s Rascals, Scoundrels and Really Bad Eggs.” Located on the Expo show floor, this 12,000-square-foot exhibit will celebrate some of Disney’s most popular pirates with unproduced artwork, attraction vehicles, and Audio-Animatronics® figures, and props and set pieces from the film franchise. The exhibit will be on display throughout D23 Expo, July 14–16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
