Disney Announces Return of Pre-Pandemic “Huggable” Meet and Greets

Recently Disney announced that character meet and greets will return to pre-pandemic conditions beginning on April 18th.

Not all locations will be available immediately. The removal of physical distancing at character meet and greets will be coming to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise line, and Aulani throughout the spring and summer.

Currently, most of Walt Disney World’s character meet and greet locations have returned, but physical distancing currently remains in effect with characters located behind a barrier and guests unable to make any direct contact.

At Walt Disney World character meet and greets have been physically distance ever since the parks re-opened from the COVID-19 closure in mid-2020.

Donald Duck Meet and Greet Moving Again at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The character musical chairs continues at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this weekend with Donald Duck’s meet and greet moving again.

Beginning on June 1 2014, Donald will be leaving Daisy at the Character Landing on Discovery Island and will be heading back to the Cretaceous Trail in DinoLand U.S.A.

‘Rock Your Disney Side’ Event Special Character Meet and Greets Schedule for Walt Disney World

The ‘Rock Your Disney Side’ 24 hour event at the Magic Kingdom is now just a few days away, starting at 5:50am on Friday morning.

Although not confirmed by Disney, here is a list of all the unique character appearances that are planned to take place overnight at the Magic Kingdom in addition to the regular daytime meet and greets. These times will not appear on the times guide, and as always are subject to change. Appearances will likely be intermittent during the times listed.

Bowler Hat Guy near Space Mountain – 1:45am to 5:45am

Cruella De Vil roaming Town Square – 2:15am to 5:45am

Captain Hook near Peter Pan’s Flight – 1:45am to 5:45am

Captain Jack Sparrow near Pirates of the Caribbean – 11pm to 5am

Dr Facillier at the Glade in Liberty Square – 2:15am to 5:45am

Frontierland Dance Party – Minnie, Chip n Dale wearing PJs 2:15am to 5:15am

Hades and Meg, Pain and Panic near Story Book Circus entrance – 2:15am to 5:45am

Jafar Adventureland Agrabah – 1:45am to 5:45am

Lotso and Big Bad Wolf at the Town Square flag pole – 1:45am to 5:45am

Queen of Hearts near Teacups – 1:45am to 5:45am

“Scary Tale Hall” Malificent and Snow Queen – 11pm to 5am

“Scary Tale Hall” Anna and Elsa, Rapunzel and Flynn – 11pm to 5am

Snow White near the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – 11pm to 5:30am

Stromboli near Pinocchio Village Haus – 1:45 to 5:45am
