On November 5th, just two days before the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the Magic Kingdom will debut a new Frozen themed castle lighting show
The show which will be called ‘A Frozen Holiday Wish,’ will replace ‘Cinderella’s Holiday Wish,’ and will run nightly during the holidays.
Queen Elsa from Frozen will use her powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a glistening ice palace for the holidays. 200,000 led lights covering Cinderella Castle are used for the show.
The Jingle Cruise will once again be returning to the Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland in for the holidays this year.
Introduced during last year’s holiday season, the Jingle Cruise is a holiday overlay to the Jungle Cruise, bringing some new elements to the queue, and a slightly revised script for the skippers.
The Jingle Cruise will set sail starting November 7th through the holidays.
Is it too early to start talking about Christmas at Walt Disney World? Not if you like visiting Walt Disney World during the Holiday Season. Walt Disney World began the installation work on the Streets of America for this year’s Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 11th.
It takes installation crews over 2 months to install the 5million+ lights that make up the display.
The Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights will take place this year from November 7 2014 through to January 4 2015.
Today, guests can start booking their Candlelight Processional Dining Packages. This is great for you early planners since the event starts the night after Thanksgiving (November 28) and runs through December 30.
Disney has a partial list of celebrity narrators including Candlelight veterans Whoopi Goldberg and Jodi Benson, and two fabulous new narrators – Academy-Award-winning actress Sharon Stone and Saturday Night Live alum Ana Gasteyer.
For those of you unfamiliar with the event, it’s a gorgeous re-telling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator each night and seasonal music from a massed choir and huge orchestra. The event started at Disneyland park in the 1958 with Walt Disney himself. At Walt Disney World Resort, it’s presented at the America Gardens Theater at Epcot, a beautiful venue, especially when all decked out for the holidays.

The provisional celebrity narrator line-up for the 2014 Candlelight Processional is beginning to take shape, with some first timers joining returning favorites at Epcot’s signature Holidays Around the World event.
First time narrators for this year’s Candlelight Processional will be actress Sharon Stone, and comedian Ana Gasteyer.
Here is the tentative line-up, which as always, is subject to change and with many dates still to be determined.
