Disney Confirms Joy and Sadness to Join Baymax in Epcot Character Spot

As previously reported here in January, Walt Disney World has confirmed that the Epcot Character Spot, located in the heart of Future World at Epcot, is being expanded to give you an opportunity to meet even more of your Disney friends.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy are on hand in their cartoon clubhouse of the future, happy to take a break from creating their latest innovation to make new friends or welcome back old pals. Across the way, you can also step into a makeshift robotics workshop and spend time with Baymax, everyone’s favorite personal healthcare companion from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Big Hero 6.”

And beginning next month, Epcot Character Spot will provide direct access to Headquarters, where you can meet Joy and Sadness, two of the Emotions who help guide Riley through life in the Disney•Pixar film “Inside Out.” On the way to Headquarters, you’ll journey through Riley’s long-term memory, catching a glimpse of her Islands of Personality before joining Joy and Sadness at the console.

Epcot Character Spot is definitely shaping up to be a prime location for creating unforgettable memories with classic Disney characters.

Joy & Sadness Expected to Begin Meet & Greet in February

Joy and Sadness

Joy and Sadness from Inside out are expected to be coming to Epcot’s Character Spot for a new meet and greet in February 2016.

The characters from the Disney Pixar movie Inside Out are strongly rumored to begin appearing in the newly expanded Character Spot, using space from the former Innoventions West exhibit.

Disney has not yet made any announcement, so as always, the information here should be treated as speculation.

Baymax Now Greeting Guests at Newly Expanded Epcot Character Spot

Baymax

Epcot’s Character Spot happily welcomes Baymax to the lineup in a newly expanded space in Future World.

Guests can now meet the squeezable character at the Epcot Character Spot in Innoventions West. In even more good news is that guests will also still be able to interact with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy too! They will be located on the opposite side of the breezeway.
