Last summer at the D23 Expo Disney announced that the Minnie Van service would become available at Walt Disney World. Today Disney announced that the service will be available for everyone at Walt Disney World, through the Lyft app.
Opening the service to all Walt Disney World guests comes after phasing it in over the Disney resorts, but initially restricted to only guests staying at those resorts. As stated above, the service is now available to everyone that is visiting Walt Disney World..
The Minnie Van service offers a comfy and convenient way for guests to travel to and from the theme parks, to dining reservations at resort hotels, family gatherings, shopping sprees at Disney Springs and much more in no time at all.
All guests have to do is download the Lyft app on their mobile device, open it from anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort and select the Minnie Van service option. Then, follow the following steps:
- Confirm your current pickup location.
- Enter your Walt Disney World Resort destination and tap “Request.”
- The app will display a map tracking the vehicle en route and give you an identifying vehicle number to help you spot your car.
With Lyft, guests can request the service with their smartphone and pay right through the app.
The service is available between 6:30 AM and 12:30 AM.
Guests can now order one of Disney’s Minnie Vans using the popular Lyft app.
“Playing a part in a family’s experience at the most magical place on earth is a dream come true,” Lyft President John Zimmer said.
The Minnie Van service will see specially decorated vehicles pick up visitors at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Yacht & Beach Club Resorts in Orlando Florida.
The drivers will be Disney cast members and carry the visitors to any destination within the park. The cars will be capable of carrying six passengers, and sport two seats that can accommodate children.
Minnie Van Service will be priced at $20 per trip per vehicle, with testing currently underway at Disney’s BoardWalk and Yacht Club Resorts between 6:30am and 12:30am. Guests staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts can learn more by visiting the Bell Services desk.
The service will expand to more locations throughout Walt Disney World soon.
A brand new transportation system is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort to add even more magic to your future vacation experiences.
Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts announced at D23 Expo 2017 that the Disney Skyliner will soon give guests a bird’s-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort.
The transportation system will connect Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts and other locations with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot. And many of the gondolas with Disney Skyliner will feature favorite Disney characters.
Another new transportation service featuring vehicles themed to the one-and-only Minnie Mouse was also announced during the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts presentation at D23 Expo 2017.
“Since we’re all about exceeding guest expectations and making every aspect of your vacation uniquely Disney, we’re creating a new point-to-point transportation service in a way that only Disney can do,” Bob said.
The Minnie vehicles will take you everywhere you want to go at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you’ll ride in Minnie’s classic style.
