Mobile Order at Walt Disney World Expands to Magic Kingdom Snack Kiosks

Starting today some snack locations are joining Mobile Order at the Magic Kingdom.   This will allow guests to order some of their favorite snack directly from their phone.

The new locations are Sunshine Tree Terrace, The Friar’s Nook and Sleepy Hollow.

As a reminder, Mobile Order allows guests to pay for meals on-the-go within the My Disney Experience app, thereby bypassing the queue to order at the restaurant.

When using the app, guests can select menu items, customize an order and pre-pay for a meal.

After arriving at the restaurant, all guests have to do is tap an “I’m here” button in the app.  This will notify the kitchen to prepare the meal. When ready, guests will be alerted via the app to pick up the meal at a designated window.

I personally love Mobile Order and use it whenever I can.

Orange Bird Returns to the Sunshine Tree Terrace on May 29th

Orange Bird

Walt Disney World has announced that the Orange Bird is returning to the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom starting May 29.

You may recall that Aloha Isle Refreshments and Sunshine Tree Terrace swapped menus and locations. Starting Friday, guests will again find the Orange Bird figurine that was reintroduced to Adventureland in 2012. He is also being added to the marquee for the location. Finally, Orange Bird will be prominently featured in a new attraction poster found at Magic Kingdom Park.

To celebrate, we are offering the poster as an adult and youth T-shirt on our Disney Parks online store from May 29 to June 4. An Art on Demand canvas wrap and print will also be available online. Please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.

You can order these items by visiting DisneyStore.com/ParkEvents.

Dude….Where’s My Dole Whip?

Dole Whip

Never fear, the Dole Whip is still here. Starting March 13, the menus and names of Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace are swapping – Aloha Isle (same menu) will shift to Sunshine Tree Terrace behind The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, while Sunshine Tree Terrace goes to the Aloha Isle spot across from Swiss Family Treehouse. Aloha Isle still has the Dole Whip Float, Dole Whip Cup and Dole Whip Twist Cup. (And the fresh-cut pineapple!) And Sunshine Tree Terrace will keep its Citrus Swirl, soft-serve vanilla ice cream, piña colada slush and other drinks. Fans of the Orange Bird don’t need to worry – he will be settling into his new home in a few weeks.

Turkey leg fans need to know their favorite snack is leaving Frontierland and Liberty Square – but look for the legs in Tomorrowland at the Cool Ship starting on March 25.
